Verbal, visual, or none of the above
By Graham Neil, Presentation Consultant, 123PPT.com

A wise man once said never mix politics and PowerPoint. Well he obviously never worked for any TV network, because it seems the only thing I see and hear these days are numbers from election polls on one channel, or the animated charts on another.

But do pictures speak louder than words and does the visual have greater effect than the verbal? When you address your audience how can you be sure that you are using the right balance of formal address, and visual aids?

For many distributing a presentation has been a case of having to use Microsoft's built in compilation tool, Pack and Go. For others it's a quick zip or sit file, and sent via mail as an attachment.

But you want to play your presentation on screen without the need to interact, but need to broadcast it to an audience, let someone play it on demand, broadcast it online, record it for prosperity, or maybe don't wish to run it from PowerPoint or even a computer for that matter. Can you get your presentation to look the way you need it and still play?

Presentations and PowerPoint expert Scott Harvey, shows you "How to export your PowerPoint presentation to DVD and video?" With this step-by-step guide.

In our last edition, Sharon Docherty Asked the Experts, "How can I play my presentation without the audience viewing my presentation notes on screen?"

Read Jonathan Stock's reply, as he answers Sharon's question and shows you how to keep your audience seeing the visuals you want, but not the notes you need.
