Love the software. Your demo video backgrounds are really cool as well. But I am having a small problem. How can I import some video files from my phone?

I have copied them over to my desktop and I have 3 videos with .3gp file extensions that the 123ppt video backgrounds studio doesnt' seem to recognise. They play fine on my phone so why can I not import them as video backgrounds for my presentation?

Thanks, Mancini

Hi Mancini,
welcome to the 123PPT Community and PowerPoint Forum. Nice to have you with us.

The .3gp video format is actually a multimedia file format used in mobile phones and devices for streaming video and sound over the web.

It is used as the standard for streaming video over the 3G network built up around the MP4 standard.

The http://www.123ppt.com/video-backgrounds-studio/ - 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio allows you to import all standard Windows Video file formats including:
  • .WMV
  • .MPG
  • .AVI
  • .MOV (Quicktime Movies)
  • .FLV (YouTube)

As .3gp is a mobile device based file format Mancini, it is not supported by our software, or in fact by Windows at all without special codecs to translate the file format to play.

It is of course possible to convert your .3gp video files into one of the above listed video standards for importing into PowerPoint to use as a http://www.123ppt.com/animated-powerpoint-backgrounds/ - video background and there are many free applications online that allow you to do this.

Once converted, you will then be able to import your video for use as a video background in PowerPoint using the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio.
