Can the 123ppt video backgrounds studio use mp4 video as video backgrounds in powerpoint?

welcome to the PowerPoint Forum.

The http://www.123ppt.com/video-backgrounds-studio/ - 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio for PowerPoint lets you import:

.WMV video files
.MPG video file
.AVI video files
.MOV (Quicktime) video files
.123 (123PPT) video files
YouTube movies

The 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio does not by default allow you to import .mp4 files because .mp4 video files are were originally only supported by Apple devices such as the MAC, iPhone, iPad etc., as well as on iTunes.

More recently mp4 has become playable on the PC through standalone players such as the VideoLan VLC Media Player and codecs are now more readily available for the Windows Media Player.

Now that mp4 has become a standard video file format within PowerPoint, we shall be including it as a new video file format for video backgrounds within PowerPoint in our next version. At this time however, the current release of the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio does not support mp4 as a video format because earlier versions of PowerPoint do not accept or recognise mp4 as a video format.
