Hey Stef, welcome to the 123PPT Community and PowerPoint Forum. Nice to have you with us. When using either the Fade In or Fade Out functions in the http://www.123ppt.com/music-soundfx-studio/ - 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio for PowerPoint the maximum duration of a fade is set to 50% of the entire duration of the music track you wish to fade. So for example, if the music track that you wish to edit is 34 seconds long. The duration of the fade in could be set from 0 - 17 seconds. Likewise if you want to fade the music track out the start of the fade out point could be wherever you decide from 17 - 34 seconds. In respect to the volume of any individual fade, you can set the volume from 0% to 100% of the music tracks volume. So for example, if you wanted to fade in a music track that was 34 seconds long very slowy from silence to full volume. You would start the fade in at 0 seconds with 0% volume and set the fade duration to 17 seconds with volume to 100%. Your music track would then fade in slowly over 17 seconds from silence to full volume. Likewise, if you wanted to fade out the same music track out very slowly from full volume to silence. You would start the fade out at 17 seconds with 100% volume and set the fade duration to 17 seconds with volume to 0%. Your music track would then fade out slowly over 17 seconds from full volume to silence.
