Hi there, is it possible to get a student discount on the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio? I really want to purchase the Deluxe Edition but I just can not afford the license price.

Do you offer student discounts at all?

Welcome to the PowerPoint Forum and 123PPT Community. Nice to have you here with us.

Unfortunately we don't provide a specific student discount scheme because as you can imagine it is very difficult to check with students from around the world that they are actually a current student and possess a valid student id.

Because of the numbers of requests we receive from various non-profit and governmental organizations also requesting discount, we decided quite sometime ago, that it would be unfair to offer discount to one group of users and not offer the same discount to other groups of users powerpoint student. So after much internal discussion we ended upon a dual layer offering to help meet the needs of all presenters and users of 123PPT products.

The http://www.123ppt.com/video-backgrounds-studio/product-editions.asp#lite - 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio Lite Edition provides presenters and users of PowerPoint with all the feaures and functionality of the Deluxe Edition at one fifth (1/5) of the license price, albeit with two small differences.

In addition to the free video backgrounds that are included with the Trial Edition installlation, the Lite Edition allows you to import 5 additional videos of your own or other third-party or other video backgrounds purchased from the 123PPT website in our http://www.123ppt.com/animated-powerpoint-backgrounds/ - PowerPoint Video Backgrounds section.

The YouTube functionality is disabled, as it is also in the Standard Edition and is only available in the Deluxe Edition.

These are the only two key differences powerpoint student between the Lite Edition and the Deluxe Edition.

In addition to offering a "Lite" version of our Deluxe package for just one fifth of the price. We also offer further discount for users purchasing more than one license with a licensing scheme that reduces the individual license price with the more licenses you buy.

This way, we try to make it possible for all presenters and users of PowerPoint, no matter if they are a student, work for charity, a governmental agency or a member of a profit driven organisation to all experience the same benefits and the same options and advantages.

Thanks for replying so quickly admin.

I really really want the Deluxe Edition license because the idea of being able to insert youtube in powerpoint is genius. I have so many presentations where I could use youtube in powerpoint to explain my points but it is impossible for me to afford a Deluxe Edition license. Is there no way the youtube in powerpoint function could be enabled in the Lite Edition for me?

When you license a copy of the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio for PowerPoint it is possible to license the Lite Edition, Standard Edition or Deluxe Edition licenses.

Each licences requires an Activation Code which unlocks a preconfigured level and ammount of features and functions in your installation. Unfortunately powerpoint student, it is not possible to customize functionality of a specific license. For example, purchase a Lite Edition license and swap inserting video backgrounds in PowerPoint with insert YouTube in PowerPoint.

The YouTube functionality of the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio is much like the voice-over recording and narration features of the 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio in that these premium features are reserved for our premium licenses.

It is possible to upgrade from the Lite Edition to the Deluxe Edition at any time, and the cost of an upgrade license does take into consideration your previous purchase of the Lite Edition license so this allows you to get started with cheap and affordable license and upgrade to the Deluxe Edition at a later time if your presentation needs, such as being able to insert YouTube in PowerPoint, require it.

As I mentioned powerpoint student, the Lite Edition is an excellent starting license because it maintains all the functionality of the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio Deluxe Studio albeit with a limitation on the number of videos that you can yourself import and the ability to be able to insert YouTube in PowerPoint functionality.

I would recommend starting off with the Lite Edition license and then upgrading to the Deluxe Edition if your presentation needs require you to be able to import more videos for use as video backgrounds over time, or if you find you really do need the ability to insert and play YouTube in PowerPoint presentations.
