I have a powerpoint show that I want to put music in.  I know how to add the music, but the slides don't advance until the song is competely finished.  I want the song to play but ot play over several slides.  Is there a way to do this??

Thanks, T

Hey Therese,

welcome to the 123PPT Community and PowerPoint Forum.

Our technical staff have compiled a complete list of simply step by step guides to inserting music and sound effects in powerpoint and your powerpoint presentations which you can follow here.

From your post, I think guide number four, How to play music across a predetermined number of slides in PowerPoint? is the guide that you should follow.

Therese, to acheive what you need in PowerPoint, I think I would probably recommend the http://www.123ppt.com/music-soundfx-studio/ - 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio . Simply because the 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio is the only PowerPoint application that enables you to control sound in PowerPoint.

The guides that admin refer to allow you to use PowerPoint's very limited sound controls but typically presenters need to fade music in or fade music out or control the volume of sound in PowerPoint and to do so you really need to use the 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio as it provides you with a whole set of new tools and functions that allow you to http://www.123ppt.com/music-soundfx-studio/screenshots.asp - control sound in PowerPoint .

There is a http://www.123ppt.com/music-soundfx-studio/download.asp - free download version of the 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio that you can try for 14 days Therese which is bundled with 5 music tracks and 5 sound effects as well to get you started.
