I created a ppt presentation with 100 photographs and 3 different songs but how can I burn the presentation to a cd or dvd? I have Roxio Photoshow Deluxe 4 but I prefer to use ppt so I can enlarge the photos...is there a way to copy the ppt show to Photoshow without losing any quality?

Hey Debbie,

welcome to the PowerPoint Forum.

When you are burning a presentation to a CD or DVD you cannot simpy use PhotoShow, Nero, or other software, you must first save your presentation using Pack & Go.

You can use Pack & Go from the File menu to save your presentation and all your presentation resources for distribution. Pack & Go allows you to prepare your presentation for burning onto recordable and other distribution media.

It would seem however Debbie, that your intention is not to distribute your presentation but rather export your presentation for PhotoShow?

PhotoShow and PowerPoint really do the same job Debbie, and are not compatible software. For example if you have a presentation that uses all of your images, why would you then wish to export those images to insert them into another program to run them as a slide show there?

You must save your presentation Debbie using the Pack & Go feature and then use your CD burning application software to copy the folder of the Pack & Go saved contents to the CD.

If you wish instead to use PhotoShow Debbie, then you must insert all your presentation images into the software and then use for example the Photoshow Home application to burn the slideshow to CD or DVD.

But as I say Debbie, there's really no need for this double work if you simply use the Pack & Go built in feature of PowerPoint and have a DVD or CD burning software such as NERO to create the actual discs.

I don't have NERO or other CD burning applications Charles. I feel a bit stuck because I would prefer to use PowerPoint to create the presentation rather than PhotoShow but at this point it feels as though I have to copy the presentation to PhotoShow to be able to burn the presentation to discs. Is there no way for me to just do this in PowerPoint?

There are several options Debbie.

For example, since your presentation contains music, if you downloaded and installed the free http://www.123ppt.com/music-soundfx-studio/ - 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio for PowerPoint , then you can use the 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio to insert your sound files and control volume and effects in your presentation.

The 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio also has several export options for your presentations. One of these allows you to http://www.123ppt.com/music-soundfx-studio/screenshots.asp#playandshare - burn your PowerPoint presentation to disc complete with photos and music straight to Blu-ray, DVD or CD-Rom from inside PowerPoint. You don't need any CD burning software and you don't need any additional applications. You can keep your presentation in PowerPoint and then simply burn it direct to disc from inside PowerPoint using the 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio.

If you don't want to use the 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio, you can of course find various freeware or shareware disc burning applications that will allow you to simply drag your presentation and music into a track listing and burn them to disc.
