Subject: How do I open the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio?

Hey guys....hope you can help me out.  I've downloaded and installed the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio and I thought everything had installed ok. So I restarted the machine at the end of the installation as the prompt told me to do. When I restarted the computer I clicked your icon on the desktop but instead of the program opening up it opens up an “open” dialog box.

How do I make it so the actual program opens?

I went through the entire Setup program and don’t understand why the program isn’t opening. Please help!

Jen

Hi Jen,

welcome to the 123PPT Community!

When you http://www.123ppt.com/video-backgrounds-studio/download.asp - Download and Install the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio several components are installed with your application such as the 123PPT Play & Share module and the http://www.123ppt.com/presentations-player/ - 123PPT Presentations Player .

Both the 123PPT Play & Share and the 123PPT Presentations Player provide you with access to play back functionality as well as sharing, distribution and burning to discs features such as burning your presentation with video backgrounds to Blu-ray, DVD and CD-Rom options.

The 123PPT Presentations Player is an integrated part of the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio for PowerPoint. When the 123PPT Presentations Player installs on your machine, it installs a component in PowerPoint which can be accessed through the 123PPT Play & Share menu. In addition, the 123PPT Presentations Player also installs a free standalone version of the 123PPT Presentations Player to allow you to open your PowerPoint presentations with video backgrounds directly from your desktop and without the need to open and run them from PowerPoint .

The free standalone version of the 123PPT Presentations Player can be opened from the shortcut icon on your desktop. (It will look like a light grey square with a red and blue 'P' on it).

If you double-click this icon then the 123PPT Presentations Player browser dialog window opens and lets you browse your computer to locate the .123Playback file associated with your presentation.

If you want to open and run the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio you should open PowerPoint.

The 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio is a PowerPoint application which is only available to you from inside PowerPoint as it requires PowerPoint to run. I.e. to insert video backgrounds and control the video backgrounds in your PowerPoint presentations you need PowerPoint installed to be able to open and edit and create your PowerPoint presentations.

Sounds like you've been opening the 123PPT Presentations Player Jen, not the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio.

If you open PowerPoint, depending on your version of PowerPoint installed on your machine, the http://www.123ppt.com/video-backgrounds-studio/screenshots.asp - 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio will be available to you and look as it does in these screenshots .

How blonde do I feel right now? Embarrassed

Thanks admin. I've found the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio. It was there in PowerPoint all along!

If I could just take a minute more of your time and ask you about the 123PPT Presentations Player. You said that I could open my PowerPoint presentations with video backgrounds directly from the desktop by browsing to the .123Playback of the presentation.

Where do I find the .123Playback file? I ran a Search of my computer but it didn't find any .123Playback files. Any ideas?

PowerPoint presentations create a .PPT file.
PowerPoint templates create a .POT file.
PowerPoint SlideShows create a .PPS file.

When you create a PowerPoint presentation together with the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio. Or if you create a PowerPoint presentation together with the http://www.123ppt.com/music-soundfx-studio/ - 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio . Or if you create a PowerPoint presentation together with both the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio and the 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio then the file extension of the enhanced PowerPoint presentation is a 123Playback file.

To create a .123Playback file for your video and audio enhanced PowerPoint presentation you need to save your file and make it ready for distribution.

If you open PowerPoint select the 123PPT Play & Share feature here you will see several options for sharing and distributing your PowerPoint presentation.

The Prepare Presentation option allows you to create a self-extracting .exe file of your PowerPoint presentation with video backgrounds (if you have WinZip installed). This creates a single easy to easy file of your presentation and makes it easy to send your presentation with video backgrounds for example over the Internet or email.

If you don't have WinZip installed then the Prepare Presentation feature lets you choose a location on your computer for example on your hard drive and create a new folder where your presentation and video backgrounds are copied. This is ideal if for example you want to copy your PowerPoint presentation with video backgrounds to a memory stick or memory card to share and distribute on other computers or with friends.

The Burn To Disc feature lets you burn your presentation with video backgrounds directly to Blu-ray, DVD or CD-Rom discs directly from inside PowerPoint.

When using either of the Prepare Presentation or Burn To Disc features, the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio creates the .123Playback file for your presentation.

This means that if you now double-click the 123PPT Presentations Player shortcut icon on your desktop and browse to the location where you saved your presentation using either of the 123PPT Play & Share features you will now see your presentation name with the .123Playback file extension. For example, MyPowerPointPresentation.123Playback.

If you select the MyPowerPointPresentation.123Playback file it will automatically open your PowerPoint presentation with video backgrounds and play it back without needing to open PowerPoint. Pretty neat huh?

Alternatively, you can just use your Windows Explorer to navigate to the folder where your PowerPoint presentation was saved using the 123PPT Play & Share features and simply double-click on the .123Playback file and your PowerPoint presentation with video backgrounds will open and play without you even needing to open the 123PPT Presentations Player!

This is the same for other users or computers getting your presentation Jen. As long as you use either the Prepare Presentation or the Bun To Disc share options, any other PC computer can either open your presentation from the desktop shortcut of the 123PPT Presentations Player or simply doublclick on the .123Playback file to open your presentation and play it back exactly as it is on your machine.

Wow!

So if I understand you correctly admin, I can actually play my PowerPoint presentation with video backgrounds either in PowerPoint, or by opening the 123PPT Presentations Player or by just clicking on the .123Playback file of my presentation?

That is so cool!
