I believe I am obviously missing something really simple but I wonder how do I scale video backgrounds to fill the screen of my presentation using the 123PPT Video Bcakgrounds Studio?

Is this feature only available in licensed versions of the software?

Hi Transient, welcome to the 123PPT Community and PowerPoint Forum.

The ability to scale video backgrounds to fill the whole screen is also in the free Trial Edition so it appears as though you may have overlooked some of the options when inserting video backgrounds into your PowerPoint slides. Embarrassed

When you use either the Insert Wizard or the Edit Slide Video functions, you will see that the selected video background has several additional options including the ability to adjust Speed, enable the Backdrop and adjust transparency and size settings.

Just above the Backdrop settings section, you will see the section Aspect ratio with a check box to the left of the words Maintain aspect ratio.

If you simply uncheck this box then when you add and assign your video background to the select slide or slides it will scale to completely fill your presentation slide.

Remember Transient, if you are using the free video backgrounds provided in the free Trial Edition of the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio then you have the option to use either 4:3 (standard) or 16:9 (widescreen) versions of video backgrounds.

Depending upon the aspect ratio of your screen, it is best to select the video background aspect ratio type most closely suited to your screen ratio as this minimizes any possible distortion when scaling up to full screen and play back mode.

Great admin. Thanks. I thought it was probably something silly I was overlooking.

It is a great piece of software by the way. I can see the possibilities for my own video backgrounds already.
