    Posted: 21 Jul 2011 at 12:48
Hey everyone,

I am having a little trouble trying to understand the differences between the Standard and the Advancd Mode feature settings in the 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio.

I'm trying to assign a playlist to just a few slides in my presentation and leave the remaining slides silent. So far all I can do is assign a playlist to all the slides which is not what I want. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance to those who reply,
Jen

Hi Jen,
welcome to the 123PPT Community and PowerPoint Forum.

The 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio has many functions, tools and features to help you create playlists and control music such as fade, crossfade, seamless looping etc.

One of the features of the 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio is the Insert Wizard.

The Insert Wizard is a simply multi-step assistant to helping you:
  • Create playlists
  • Add music tracks
  • Set audio effects such as fade, pan, loop or control volume
  • Add sound effects to slide transitions and Custom Animations
  • Assign your playlists to slides or your entire presentation

There are 2 different modes available for the Insert Wizard.

Standard Mode
The 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio Insert Wizard Standard Mode lets you create a playlist and then assign the playlist to your entire presentation so that your music plays seamlessly across all slides throughout your presentation.

Advanced Mode
The 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio Insert Wizard Advanced Mode lets you assign individual playlists to individual slides, sets of slides or your entire presentation.

Imagine a presentation of 10 slides. Using the Advanced Mode you can for example, assign a playlist to slides 1 and 10, then maybe another playlist to slides 2,3 and 4. Then maybe another playlist to slide 5 and another playlist to slide 6 and 7 etc.

There are no limitations to the number of playlists or combinations of how you wish to assign your playlists to any and all slides within your presentation.

The Standard Mode is the ideal way to get started and become familiar with creating playlists, adding tracks, assign effects and so on but once your use of the application increases and your need to create more complex presentations increase you can simply select the OPTIONS icon in the 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio and select the Advanced radio button in the lower section of the OPTIONS dialog window to enable the Advanced Mode for the Insert Wizard.

Hope this helps Jen.
