Hi Rolf and welcome to the 123PPT Community!

Apple uses 2 differing types of file formats for music depending on the copyright and ownership of the music in your iTunes library. One file type is called m4a and the other m4p.

m4a actually stands for MPEG 4 Audio.

In order to import MPEG 4 audio files into the 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio you would first need to convert them into MP3 files to ensure that your Windows system can play the files without needing the iTunes player.

To convert m4a files into MP3 files:
  • Open iTunes.
  • Select Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Importing.
  • Change the ‘Import Using' option to ‘MP3 Encoder’.
  • Save the settings.
  • Go to the library and right-click on your music tracks and choose the option which reads ‘Convert Selection to MP3′ to convert your music track to MP3.

Once converted to MP3 you can simply use the Your Music option from the 123PPT Music & SoundFX Studio Import Music & SoundFX section to import your converted iTunes tracks for use in your PowerPoint presentations.

Remember Rolf this only works for non Digitally Rights Managed music (DRM) and music which you yourself own and are not licensed only to play on Apple's iPod, iPhone, iPad or other devices.
