Hey jackal and welcome to the PowerPoint Forum.

Selecting the correct font or fonts to use in your PowerPoint presentation is really dependent upon a number of different criteria.

For example, if it is a corporate presentation then chances are that you really don't have too much choice and you must stick with the official fonts used in your corporate profile, brand and design manual.

If it is a private presentation then of course the choices are much greater and really depend upon the subject of your presentation and presentation topic.

What I mean jackal, is that if your presentation is for example a presentation about breast cancer, it would really be inappropriate to use a font such as Comic. Then again, if your presentation was a PowerPoint presentation about YouTube and perhaps a presentation about funny YouTube clips then using Times New Roman would be equally as inappropriate.

Can you provide us with any input into the subject matter of your PowerPoint presentation?

Perhaps first it might be wise to ensure that you are presenting the correct visual design?

If you are not using a PowerPoint Template that is specifically targetted towards Internet Security then I would recommend looking at potentially using:

If you want to create a greater impact with your audience you might consider using PowerPoint Video Backgrounds.

Video Backgrounds in PowerPoint really gain much more attention than traditional static slides as they transform a PowerPoint presentation into more of a film presentation.

There are several animated backgrounds for PowerPoint you might consider such as:

When you have decided upon the visual look and feel of your presentation then you can focus on the font, typeface and text formatting.

I would recommend going for a screen based font which such as Calibri, if you wish to stay with a default Windows font. Alternatively, our own Bastian Sans Font typeface design is a commanding screen font which could be combined with Bastian Sans Heavy or Bastian Sans CD Heavy for headlines and titles on your slides.
