Hi,
this might seem like a dumb question, but I was wondering if it was possible to put a watermark on a slide? I'd like to make the slides a bit more personal by putting a watermark on them and also give the impression that the presentation is copyrighted and protected.

Hi Jeremy,
to add a watermark to your slides in PowerPoint 2000, PowerPoint 2002, or Powerpoint 2003:
- Open your presentation to which you want to add the watermark background.
- If you wish to add your watermark to all slides in your presentation then select Master on the View main menu option, and click Slide Master.
- Choose the graphic, logo, or clip art image you want to use as a slide background. On the Insert main menu option, select Picture, and then click Clip Art to create a background from a new picture, or select From File to use a picture you have in your files.
- You will now see your graphic, logo, or clip art image on the slide. But you will also note that the image is not yet semi transparent.
- Right-click the logo or clip art on the slide, and then select Format Picture from the image properties dialog box.
- Select the Picture tab, click the arrow next to the Color box, click Washout (this item is called Watermark in PowerPoint 2000), and then click OK.
- Making sure that you still have the graphic, logo, or clip art still selected, right-click and then click Save as Picture.
- Delete the original image from the slide as you will now replace it with the new version of the image you just saved.
- Select Format from the main menu, and then select Background. In the Background dialog box, click the arrow in the box under Background fill. Select Fill Effects, and on the Picture tab, click Select Picture.
- Now simply navigate to the picture you formatted and saved as a transparent background, click Insert, then press the OK button, and then click Apply.
That's it Jeremy. Your transparent graphic, logo, or clip art image will now be added to the master slide as a background, and the new background will appear on every new slide you insert into your presentation.
